 beginner - airbrush problem
« Thread Started on Jan 28, 2009, 10:39pm »

I am new to airbrushing so forgive my stupidity.

I have just bought an Aztek A2203 airbrush and a Revell can of propellant.

I connect the can to the airbrush connector but I get no propellant coming through the airbrush. I have connected it tightly and the propellant can is full.

The airbrush connects to a hose and then there is an adapter at the end of the hose which screws onto the can. It has not worked at all for me, today is my first time trying it (I am totally new to this). The airbrush has not been tested or used before, it is new out of the box.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, and to answer the first part of your post, it's not stupid to ask questions, that's how we all learn. Unfortunately I've never used an Aztek so can't assist with your problem, but maybe the folks here can: http://airbrushtechnique.com/forums/f458....lems-16298.html ... hopefully others on this forum may be able to offer assistance?

Meealan

Welcome to the forum. I had a similar problem. Does adapter that goes onto the can have a second screw thread on top? I had one where the main part screwed to the can and then you had to screw down a smaller thread on top to release the air. Correctly fitted you should hear an hiss and then it will stop until you pull the trigger.

Other alternatives could be that the adapter is not correct for the can you have or for some reason the can you have is empty.

Best of luck

Paul
