After looking at the various Sig's i found that their is not one that covers the British army. so i purpose that with all the British Armour kits that have been released over the last few years that it might be a good time to start one THE BRITISH ARMY SIG.
my vision is a Sig that covers every part of the army not just AFV's but everything that makes up the army of today and back to at least the Napoleonic wars(further if requested) so i would like to see figure , aircraft , ship , trucks ,horse drawn , steam vehicles and trucks models of the British army being built by members (if i we get any). i would like as a Sig to have a newsletter for members covering topics mentioned above and hopefully a Internet presence. i would suggest that all int rested members get to gather at SMW 2012 until then we can use this thread to keep in touch and work out details. if you are interested and have questions and/or suggestions please post in this thread.

Interesting idea for a SIG. If you haven't already done so, may I suggest that you contact the editor of the Society magazine with your suggestion, that way you reach all the members, not just a small percentage on here.

I'm just wondering if it may be trying to encompass to much as the British Army started in 1707 I believe, so what about a Post-war (1945) British Army SIG which could include Korea, Aden, Malaya, Kenya, Northern Ireland, Falkland and such.... Steve
