OK. The picture gave them a goldish tinge and I wondered if they were lost wax cast brass. I had a set of technics LWCB undercarriage legs for a wingy thing a few years ago and they were the bees knees!

Ayup Chris, I don't know if your comments about the scale of the Mercedes cab have influenced me, but over the past few weeks, I seem to have been actively looking for Mercedes 16 ton rigids.
I had the chance to look at a couple of trucks today whilst spending time in the usual M5 / M6 car park. The cab in my view is either 1/25 or 1/28, because the box body and chassis on your build are matched very well. On each of the vehicles I've seen, the height of the box above the cab is just about the depth of the windscreen.
In short Chris, it's a superb build and one which you should be very proud of.
