Hi Keith, I have got some of this primer myself & it's excellent for general priming of my figures (white & grey). I have got the daughter to get me some more!!! Mark

Well gibbdun mate you never never put glue/Super glue/Solder etc on top of paint weather its plastic, metal, or any other substance. If you have thrown this away, then you have wasted a perfectly good primer for models. 'He say's chuckling to himself'

... is there no way to glue pre painted parts then? Keith, in short, no! To glue plastic together, you need a clean surface for the glue to adhere to, I'm afraid a painted surface is not really good enough. For instance, some modellers like to paint truck cabs and then glue them together, but to do that the mating surfaces are first scraped clean of paint. Sorry Keith, this hobby can be cruel at times, can't it?

One tip is to use thin strips of Tamiya tape placed on the mating surfaces before painting the part. After painting these strips are removed and the parts can then be glued together conventionally.
