The big Seaview is just as much of a joy to build, especially the control room

Nice Seaview model Chadders. Used to watch the series years ago. If Moebious would do the Disney Nautilus from 20.000 Leagues Under the Sea, that would be just great. Airfix almost did it in the 80's. I saw a test shot at a trade show, but it never went into production. It's been done by some small outfits, but never by a mainstream plastic kit manufacturer. Maybe the cost of rights from Disney may be too prohibitive, I don't know? Revell did a Nautilus kit a while ago, but it was nothing like the Disney version. To me the Disney Nautilus is the definitive one, giving a hint of how ship builders of the Victorian era may have built such a vessel. Come on Revell. Get the rights, and let us have a good sized model in 1/100 scale or something!

I've got one of those Revell ones. I may get it done one of these fine days

Pegasus Hobbies have a Disney "style" Nautilus coming out later this year which looks really nice. There are some pre-product pics & artwork out there on the net somewhere! Ant
