There seems to be a strong suggestion that Academy are planning to release a Queen Elizabeth class ship, namely the most famous of all; HMS Warspite, in 1:350. This is showing on the Hannants site as a future release. It was around this time last year as an un-named Queen Elizabeth class, and even had some artwork to go with it, and has since settled on Warspite. c/o mmzone.co.kr, posted on britmodeller.com I don't suppose anyone has any further information on this? as it is eagerly awaited and will be high on my (amongst many others') shopping list. The image seems to show her in her early 30s refit, but rumours are that she will be as her late '30s/WWII refit, which I will be hoping for.

Sounds promising, looking forward to that one.
HMS Warspite was off the Cornish coast for sometime, some of my family even had trips around her in Penzance bay.

Ah, her famous grounding, one of her last acts of defiance to prolong her existance a bit longer. That ship sure had true British grit. It's absolutley monstrous that she wasn't preserved, there was a campaign to have her preserved at the time, as probably the most deserving of any of the battleships to be saved, but the tight ***s won the day and her fate was sadly sealed. Can you imagine the value of such a priceless treasure if she had survived, I would say more history of action and character than any preserved ship in the world today, not to mention a stylish but tough and bold looking ship. Here she is in better times as she should be remembered, entering Valletta in the late '30s.

Vallette = Valletta, Malta? Sorry to be a pedant.
I didn't realise the Fritz missiles were used against military boats too - I thought they were all shot off at merchants.

Sorry, must have got my fingers in a knot when typing, I've amended the spelling to Valletta (Malta).
I was just looking at one of the 'Fritz' guided bombs this week at the Hendon museum. The info display about it said they were phased out from being used against allied warships later in the war (late '44 - '45), due to the guiding aircraft needing to stay so close to the target for some time to keep within good visiual range, which made the launching '88s vulnerable to more advanced anti aircraft fire.

I understand WEM are committing to a dedicated photo-etch set, so looks like a 'full' kit will be available in the not too distant future.
I've seen photos of the prototype build of the Warspite kit on another web site, but not seen any report on Trumpeter's Queen Elizebeth.

Hopefully they'll be out in time to be around at SMW in November, and also White Ensign's photo-etch set; that would make a nice little 'souvenir' to bring back from Telford.
