It's out, and it looks pretty good according to the reviews I have seen, got mine on order.
The etch is at the top of WEM's priority list.
Happy days

My Dreadnought dropped through the post yesterday.
Lots out of 10 to Zvezda, great kit, moulded full hull, but deep V cut in inside along the waterline, and braced for hull halves.
Decks are very finely moulded, as is the structure to support the bridge and the boat deck. main turrets & guns look good as well, boats are servicable. the steam pinaces are particularly good with seperate funnels & vents, also propellers proveded for them.
The 12pdrs are a bit bland and some of the smaller details are slightly chunky. On the other hand, it is considerably less money than comperable sized Dragon or Hasagwa kits.
I am already looking into a 2nd to covert into HMS Bellerphon, almost a repeat with the tripod mast turned round & moved forward and a 2nd tripod mast added, also 4" secondaries, and a few other minor detail changes.
A St Vincent class could also be done, the big job there would be lenghening the hull by 10 scale feet, in 5' also finding some 12"/50s to replace the 12"/45s, not impossible though. Still working up the courage for that idea.
By the by big well done to Modelsforsale, ordered 4pm on wednesday & delivered thursday morning.

Nice one Simon. Got mine from MFS at the Yeovilton show, just waiting on the pontos up grade for it and to finish a boat I am on at the mo. Have three other ships to build so I wonder which will be next .

Just looked at your HMS Dreadnought on 'the other' site - very nice work!

Conway Maritime Publications produced a very good book about HMS Dreadnaught in their Anatomy of the Ship series. Probably out of print now but worth seeking out if making this model.

I don't normally do ships, but MrsC's grandfather was in Dreadnought so perhaps an exception could be made.
