Built one many years ago and recently finished the Road Roller. Take your time and paint as you go be sure to allow all the rods on the crankshaft to move when assembled, it won't turn once fitted but if the shafts won't move it won't go in. Be aware that the metal stickers for the boiler bands can stretch so don't trim any excess off for a couple of days to allow them time to settle. Enjoy the build, fantastic model. One other thing the decals in my road roller had become brittle with age and some went on in several pieces but with care and a good dose of micro sol and set looked OK.

Has any body got the instruction sheet for the 97 Corvette Coupe kit number 07307? I have already checked with Revell who do not list it in the library and with Mick at IPMS.

The first meeting went well and we had ten members present, three IPMS members and another two expressed an intention to join the IPMS on the night so we are on track to become a branch. Four of the members are lady members who are active modellers and not just along for the ride!! The name of the club will be Wisbech and district model club and our next meeting will be on Wednesday 23rd July at Tesco community room Wisbech at 19.30. The eventual intention is to have a meeting on the first Thursday of the month at Kings Lynn and on the third Thursday of the month at Wisbech. Anybody is welcome to just turn up for a friendly night or contact me for further details.

The model I left thirty years ago because it went wrong was a Bandai Road Roller, I didn't build anything from then until I started again two years back after a couple of smaller builds I decided to give it another go. It was on the Fifty year anniversary display at Telford, go for it you may feel rusty but it will all come back, even with poorer eyesight, vari-focals and opti-visors don't mix unless the eyes are double jointed!

This is advertised as the worlds greatest model shop, well we visited yesterday and found the truth was somewhat different. It is no more than a large under stocked toy shop. The model area for which it is supposedly famed contained less stock than most modellers have in their stash and was freezing cold, most of the lights were not working except on the displays of built models round the café (U.S.S.Enterprise is fantastic). Speaking of the café they claim to serve fresh home cooked food, really fresh microwave ready meals or poorly cooked frozen food. We returned or meals and demanded and received a refund, don't even try the tea, it is vile. When we complained about the lack of stock we were told that it is the same everywhere because the suppliers cannot keep up with demand and that stock had all been sold in the last few days because of the Christmas rush, there were less than a dozen customers in the store. All in all not worth the trip to get there as your local toyshop probably holds a better stock.
