Looking for build instructions for above kit. I've had the part built kit for a few years, now determined to finish it (that'll teach me to walk away from an incomplete build!)

Having been enthralled by the Bob Sleigh races at the Olympics, I thought it would be great to build a scale model of (at least) one . I have trawled the net to no avail. Does anyone know of a kit manufacturer?

Am about to have a stab at heat shrink tubing - got the tube but need a gun. I've looked on eBay, but really need some advice on which type I should go for. Can anyone advise please?

I am building the above Tamiya kit and am at the point of assembling the wheels. I am using the photo-etch set from Acu Stion - unfortunately the provided instructions only show a line drawing of the different components, not how to assemble. Most of the 7 components are self-explanatory, but the remainder are a bit problematic. I can't find any help on't net. Has anyone used this set?

Thanks for that - I'll give the clear paint a try. I have tried the Humbrol Metalcote paint - the polished steel gives a very nice finish. For some reason I wasn't so successful with the aluminium (might give that another try). Nice photo by the way. John

I may be stating the obvious to experienced modellers but I was searching for a good anodised blue finish and found to my surprise the Tamiya Metallic Blue is spot on! I compared it to an authentic Williams FW14 wheel nut and it's an exact match. All I need now is a good anodised red finish.

I am preparing a 1/12 Williams FW14B build. I have purchased some stainless steel electrical connectors and need to get a brass effect on them. Apart from the obvious normal route of prime, gloss black then brass (I have some Mr Hobby brass paint), is there a better way?

Like most other modellers I get inspiration from 'full build' reviews in various magazines. I have not seen any mention of which adhesive is used to pull together pre-painted sub-assemblies. Is it just a matter of (very) carefully scraping away the paint from contact points? Obviously (well to me anyway) this can be a nerve racking exercise, especially as the old eyes and fingers are not what they used to be. Any recommendations/advice gratefully received. Cheers

I have recently purchased the above Hasegawa kit via eBay. (private seller has offered to make a refund). Unfortunately several of the clear plastic parts (from sprue "C") are missing (the main ones being the headlight lens). This is such a good looking kit I would like to purchase a replacement sprue. I've tried Amerang, Models for Sale with no joy. I cant see a contact address for Hasegawa Japan. Does anyone have any suggestions for a source please? Thanks
