....some of them become bars. I saw these three serving either alcohol or fast food at strategic points around one side of the Silverstone GP circuit. There may have been others around the other side. Note the different lengths of soft roof areas, and what appears to be an opening panel disguised as windows on the Pimm's example. It's possible that the upper floors are opened as dining areas when the weather is suitable. First, JJD559D. (No serial number shown) Next, two views of RML2706. Finally, RML892.

The first one is RML2559 Some Like 2559 were modified for sight seeing in London by cutting out the main section of the roof plus window frames. The idea was that for winter or wet weather the roof section could be refitted. The other two look like the roof top mods were carried out post retirement. As im not aware of similar mods being carried out prior to withdrawal.

went to Berlin a few years ago , there is a fleet of double deckers (not routemasters tho) that are used for tourist trips , they have a folding roof, you can see the mechansim in the pic below
