Here is my take on the Morris cherry picker that was on display at Gaydon this year. I have based mine on the Opal Blitz and cab #1 was a real disaster and was quickly binned. A few weeks later we now have Mk #2 which `feels` a lot better, so I`m going with that one,

I can see no meaningful reason to continue with this thread as trucks obviously don`t figure too highly on this forum.

Have patience -- it's the summer holidays (at least here in the UK). I've noticed that we can go for a few days without any postings at all on the forum. If you don't want to continue describing the build, at least show us the finished model.

Until the other day, mine was the ONLY post in the truck section for the whole of August. The total lack of activity made me feel that there was no point in continuing with the thread. This wasn`t a complaint - simply an observation.

because no one has posted doesn't mean no one is interested, for example if you read a newspaper it doesn't mean you have to write to the editor congratulating/complaining about the content, your efforts may spark someone to take up the theme or admire your work from afar....as I usually do as the work that appears on the forum is truly outstanding and beats my pathetic attempts at sticking plastic together....

I take your point Karlos but to my mind the word `forum` means to meet and discuss and you have to admit it - it can be a VERY lonely place amongst the trucks. Just a few odds and ends, otherwise - that`s it.

Nice build. Did you use flying model aircraft link rods ?

I made the rods from two sizes of Evergreen strip.

Hi,
Nice build - you have some good model building skills that are appreciated by truck builders who use this site.
This section of the forum and the car section aren't very active - guess its a sign of the make-up of the IPMS. More active members in the civilian vehicle areas are needed - there is the talent within the IPMS for this to happen, a visit to SMW next month will confirm this.
Model builders should look at work from areas outside their own interests as they will pick up some skills or techniques that they may also find useful.
Keep posting your work!
Cheers,

Thanks for the kind remarks, they are much appreciated. It`s true that the 1:24th vehicle section feels like a very lonely place at times and that my nearest IPMS club appears to mirror the forum with regards to trucks, which is a great pity.
