For those who may not have heard, Neil Armstrong passed away today (August 25th 2012). An Icon of the 20th Century has passed on, and it would be fitting to do a tribute to him, hosted by the IPMS NASA SIG. But his life encompassed many other areas covered by other SIG's, such as a test pilot of US Airforce aircraft and as a Naval Aviator in Korea. If other SIG's members would like to contribute to this display, please contact me, Paul Smith, IPMS NASA SIG coordinator.

Paul,
I'm fully behind this and will supply the aircraft he first flew solo in. An Aeronca Champion. Which seems quite fitting...

Paul, the 'Beyond the Box' SIG would also like to support your display in our own wacky way ... ... look to the stars on a clear night!

Paul what you need is an old 12inch black and white telly showing the moon landing in all its glory via a video recorder beta max if you could find such an arrangement . Now that would be a show stoper . Just thinking out loud and good luck with the tribute cheers ian
