We don't really need a new 1/48 Mosquito IV - it's hardly likely to better the Tamiya kit. The 1/24 Airfix one is a different kettle of fish, though. I wish manufacturers would fill in the gaps in the RAF types produced in 1/48, like a mainstream Hampden, which is not that much bigger than a Mossie to tool. Even the less than brilliant FM kit sells well so there would appear to be a market for a well researched and detailed version.

Sworn to silence......
Mosquito in 1/24th a distinct possibility, think I have clapped eyes on original.......
This will be interesting, personally, I would have a go at what I have seen.............
Let the rumours flow, If I am right, it will be worth it!

As far as I know,
This was hopefully happening a couple of years ago, the current one I think is the same original.....
Single stage engine I recollect.

Thought I'd bump this up again - any news on either the Revell 1/48 or the Airfix 1/24?

the airfix mossie is due late this year I beleve, good job too as it gives me time to save the £130 + it going to cost - the revell one should be soon as they had the boxing and test shots at telford

Airfix 1/24th kit's due in July; the hike in price, almost certainly, can be blamed on the fall of the pound against the dollar, since the mould will be paid for in dollars, and there are over 850 parts. Latest report we have is that the Revell 1/48th kit has been (probably temporarily) withdrawn, since the u/c is around 10mm short. Don't suppose we'll hear a chorus of disapproval, against Revell, like we always get when a fault's found with a Trumpeter, or Airfix, kit, though. Edgar

Not always true for myself Edgar. Having built many manufacturers kits I actually avoid Revell unless I can't get it from another manufacturer.
