A little more progress and although the drive gear is obviously Meccano, it won`t look like it once it`s been `doctored`.

Here is the progress so far. This one feels like it`s taking forever and a day.

Thanks Harriet, There is a LONG way to go yet as the last photos were only `mock-ups`. I think that we are talking about months rather than weeks. I look at the Foden every Monday when I am in the museum and come away thinking `I`ll never get it to look like that`.

Beautiful, isn't she? I think local too - somewhere around Northampton .... Anyway, Jim keep the good work up ...

Progress to date. The resin wheels spotted at Gaydon have proved to be perfect.

Impressive as usual Jim! Looks good ... By the way there is a kit out there - but it's a big 'un link thing

Just about ready to begin the body. Noticed that the chassis has developed a slight warp (front wheel in the air). Nothing that a weight and a bit of heat wont cure. I`ve seen (and lusted after) those kits Harriet. They are either 1:4 or 1:8 scale. I don`t know the price but it`s got to be £1,000 plus.

At 12 1/2 foot long and 3 foot wide, it's a bit bigger than that Jim (4.5" to the foot), and could reach speeds of up to 20 MPH! Priced just over £18K! Anyway, I digress ... Looking good - love the casual way you state there's a slight problem and how you'll overcome it

Every week a little bit further. The decals are just mock-ups on plain paper.

Well, I think that's fabulous Jim - well done, love it ... Will it be at Telford?
