Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong place, but as the SMW 2016 sub-board isn't open yet I couldn't see anywhere else it would fit.
Anyway, for the past few years IPMS West Glamorgan have run a memorial trophy for one of our late members, Keith Jones. One of Keith's favourite subjects was the Battle of the Atlantic, which has been the theme for the Trophy up till now. However, Keith only ever built British subjects, mostly those belonging to the Royal Navy. Therefore this year we have decided to change the theme to The Royal Navy from its beginnings until today (it seems that it is agreed the 'modern' RN dates from the early 16th century, but if someone wants to enter an English ship from 900 then feel free!)
So, with 246 days (!) to go to SMW 2016 we would like to ask anyone who is building any subject with a Royal Navy connection - ship, submarine, FAA aeroplane or helicopter, Royal Marine figure, dockside crane - literally any subject as long as it's Royal Navy - for this years SMW comp to also enter it for the Keith Jones Memorial Trophy. Jaques, who used to be Mr. L'Arsenal but has now retired, will again kindly provide a very nice trophy, and IPMS West Glamorgan will present the winner with a £25 L'Arsenal voucher.
Thanks for reading,
Keith

As we now have gone below 100 days to go (yikes!) to SMW2016, just a gentle bump of the thread to ask anyone building any Royal Navy related subject for this years comp., to also enter for the IPMS West Glamorgan Keith Jones Memorial Trophy.
Thanks!
Keith
