Wallace & Gromit at the Movies ...
Now far be it for me to get involved in something silly ... but, one of the members of the 'Beyond the Box' SIG, 'fatty' aka Paul Findon has suggested 'Wallace & Gromit at the Movies'.
This seems to me to be just the sort of thing the 'Beyond the Box' SIG was designed for. The characters would obviously be modifications of the 'Wallace & Gromit' figures, suggestions so far ...
Freddy Kruger and Jason Terminator Braveheart Dr Who & K9 Indiana Jones Pulp Fiction (Jules & Vincent) Matrix (Neo) Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader (light sabers drawn) Obiwan and Yoda Marilyn Monroe (skirt blowing up) - 'Gwendolin' Gladiator and Comodus
... and my favourite suggestion at the moment ... Frankenstien and Master using Wallace as the monster.
What do you think? ... anyone fancy it? ... suggestions for characters ...

As I have my A35 still to build I would choose Batman and Robin with the A35 as a very cool batmobile ;D .

Following the club meeting last night, there's a theme which raised a giggle, suggested by 'fatty' aka Paul Findon. Using the aircraft from the 'Wallace & Gromit' kit, convert it to the E(dam) Busters ... add a couple of extra engines, build the replica Edam Bouncing Bomb and give Gromit the obligatory white scarf and goggles .. love it!

How many of you can remember the 'Real Robots' part work series from 2002?
It gave you all the bits and pieces on a fortnightly basis to build 'Cybot', they even a included a remote control system operated by voice.
Well, I actually started the series, built the robot, got bored but kept receiving the updates. I've just cleaned out the workshop and found the complete series in one of the cupboards tucked away and sealed, and I've got a spare chassis and all the bits and pieces to make something else. So ... I think 'Wallace & Gromit' could feature in there somewhere? ... but for now, back to the cleanup!

To my shame I never managed to start the idea I had for the Blues Brothers version for the last SMW, but it's an idea for this one. Also:
James Bond & Q or M or even Moneypenny if you fancy doing a cross dressing Gromit. Sticking with Bond, how about Ernst Stavro Blofeld - with Gromit as his , er, "girl thingy"... Mission Impossible - Gromit suspended on wires above the alarmed floor trying to get to the cheese safe Clockwork Orange Alien versus Predator The Shining (or has that been done already?) Any Bruce Lee film Karate Kid Indiana Jones - you have the option of using the motorcycle and side car as well for Indy and his father ;D
I'm wrapped up in aerobatic models so I'll be unlikely to get anywhere near starting anything like this.
