Have started to sniff around my new project and the tractor unit is a new Italeri kit. The chassis is already built for you with an engine sump, crossmembers, diesel tank, mudguards and battery box already attached.
NOT KEEN. Especially as I am going to have to remove half of it grrrr.

It is Italeri's attempt to make production cheaper as with the Daf chassis terrible I know but you got to live with it. it isn't worth chopping about use another chassis if you want to convert the MAN.

Grrr you know I'm even less impressed with this kit. Not only have they pre built the chassis, they have missed off anything that will be hidden behind the side skirts which are of course used by about 2% of British hauliers. I mean even the air tanks are missing.
I blooody hope that not all of the new Italeri truck kits are like this GRRRRRR.

I am really inclined to approach Italeri and tell them what I think. I'll tell them I'll set the Truck SIG on to them if they don't cut it out!
