Hi , I am going to build a Zis 5v extended GS cargo body on a 5th wheel , to make the rare 5 ton version.I have started today cutting the chassis to the correct wheel base for the cab unit. It is drying out . Will post photos very soon cheers ian

Hi all, I small update , the chassis is now complete and I am starting on scratch building the 5th wheel , a big help is the SAM 2 trumpeter kit which I can copy for sizes etc , But I am having to make it more of an early style . . photos soon cheers ian

hi all , a little update the chassis and extended wooden body is 95% completed , just a few rivets and claps to add. 5th wheel att is 85% completed it is hardening off before final details can be added . send more photos to nick when the B****** rain stops cheers ian

Ian has sent a few photos of the build to me for placing on the site, unfortunately I've been rather busy of late but hopefully I'll catch up this weekend. Incidentally, I've seen the build, and I think Ian has outdone himself with this one and he's promised to do an article for the Society magazine, well done mate.
