.. I'll sort it out when I get back as I don't think I am going to have internet access while down there. Right then, seeing as though it's going to be quiet here next week with Wolfie playing 'dahn the smoke', what shall we do ... how about a truck building party, and we can post loads of pics coz he won't be able to see them? ;D

Hi there folks
I am still trying to figure out what is needing to be done yet with my vast collection of TMW for Lonely poodle !!!!!!!!
Aside from trying to get mine back into some sort of order after raking through them for TM stuff I wouldn't mind actually taking time to read back through some of them.

OK I'm back from London and had a look at what Aarons done and heres what I propose... Firstly most people looking in an index are going to be looking for something specific eg Scania 143 etc so that is where the sorting needs to be done. Aaron has done it differently so I'm going to start from scratch. What I would like is simply 6 boxes filled in in Excel or Openoffice Calc format or anything that is compatible. You can download OpenOffice for free and its easily as good as Word and Excel. The boxes are as follows.... TITLEThis is the important one, this is how people will find what they want. What needs to be in this box is the big hint as to what the article is about. Where its a straightforward build article, you can put in the name of the truck, eg Scania 144, Volvo FL10 etc etc. Add R for a rigid, and W/D for a wagon and drag (drawbar to our European friends!). If its a trailer build, then trailer type eg tilt/bulker/tanker etc. For 'how to' etc articles just use the word Informative. And dioramas are to be called Dioramas of course Have I missed any out? ARTICLE TYPEThis is the next most important box, as it will qualify the first one making it absolutely clear what the article is about. This will be along the lines of 'Build article/scratchbuild article/review article/how to xxx article' etc etc. KIT MAKERWhere applicable Italeri, Revell etc etc SCALESelf explanatory. ISSUE/PAGEIssue number and page number where the article starts. COMMENTSAnything you'd like to add to the description, KEEP IT SHORT! And thats it. I have left out diecasts for now as I think most people will be looking for build articles. Have I missed anything? Should I add anything? I'm open to suggestions. If Mike could do his promised 1-10, I will do 11-20 and we'll take it from there. Anyone adding info will have their names in the index Hall of Contributors I will also do a template in Excel which can be emailed to anybody so you can just fill in the boxes. Just ask me for it. My email is truckmodeller@aol.com Cheers All Wolfie. PS Errrr has anyone actually asked Peter White if such an index exisits before we start??
