Picked this up at the weekend, just couldn't resist ;D. 1/8 scale 1932 Ford Roadster Street Rod . It will be a long term project by the looks of things but I am going to add as much detail as I possibly can whilst adding a modern touch to it: Here's a few pictures I took of the bodyshell next to the 1/24 Tamiya Honda S800, its big .: And here's on of the tyres as well: Already brought some Pocher Ferrari F40 disc's and calipers to start the modernisation process, going to have fun with this one .

I've been looking for some good reference pictures so will be interested to see the book. And no I hadn't thought about a police car. I have got a idea for a nice paint job (hot rod style) but always open to suggestions.

Actually Spike, I've found two books, one on police cars and another on fire vehicles, mainly b/w but lots of good photos, even one of the AAA (American Automobile Association). Lots of reference for you, I'll bring them both to Huddersfield. try this ... vrooooooooooooooooooooooom! carnut.com/iown/cpenow.html

Work has kicked off on the Ford and this is where I stand at the moment: The chassis and fuel tanks have been glued together and I have started to fill in the chassis to give it a nice clean look as this is going to be a show hot rod: Also started to build the engine which is in need of some modification to get the blower to fit properly: The fuel tank has some major sunken areas in the plastic so lots of filler has been needed to smooth it out:
