Well Ive got a load of bits that Im not going to use for the Wacky Races project, so I decided to put them to good use on another..... So here is the start of my 1/24 scale workshop. Around the bare walls there will be a work bench, cupboards and tool chests etc..... I have an engine hoist comming for the engine to hang off, the car will be on stands and the mechanic under-neath... There will be various tools and motor parts too around the workshop. Ive uprated the brakes to "resin" Brembo drilled disks, and changed the wheels to two peice split rims. Ive fitted a bucket seat and I may possibly fit a roll cage too... The one thing I need to make is a small dust cover for the car, any one have any idears on this? ? ....well if this mechanic does a good job on the Skyline, then I may have to give hime the job on the Benley Flyer..... ;D ;D ;D

Ive decided to change the HT leads..... They looked a little "Too fat!" so ive created some from wire. Once the glue is set a bit more i will do a little more tweeking... Ive also added a dip stick and a linkage for the throttle boddies, one down, more to go! LoL

Hi To make your dust cover select the area of the car it is intended to cover , and place over it cling film as a barrier , then place tissue paper on top and mold to shape when satisfied then paint on PVA glue 50 -50 diluted with water . Leave to harden off and when set remove the cling film it will come away from the car and the inside of the dust sheet cleanly. leaving a fully formed accurate dust sheet ready to be painted . As always test on a scrap item first to perfect it . Good luck cheers Ian Sadler

Little bit more done today..... Engine has a bit more detail, and a few of the tools have arrived. Im still waiting on the other workshop parts,(engine hoist, cabinets, shelves, tool chest and gas bottles) these should arrive soon I hope! The car is now on stands, the interior is finished (complete with scratch built harness and roll cage) I shall have a go at the cover for the rear, (PVA and tissue, kinda reminds me of pre-school LoL) this is actually to hide an accident with the rear window Doh! Im still contemplating brake pipes? not sure yet.... Ive also got to dirty the floor a bit, possibly some oil stains aswell..... And Im going to have to put a poster or two up, I kinda got some paint on the wall.....

Where did you order the bits from? All the workshop items you see so far are from a Tamiya Rally mechanics set,(tools, jack, axcel stands and the mechanic. The workshop set comming is from Italiara. The engine hoist is from the states, but I dont know makes that (joys of ebay) The rest of the Rally mechanics set is for the Wacky Races (you get a duplicate of all the tools etc......) The car is a Fujimi Skyline 2000 GT-R with the detailed engine. Ive had a move around and decided to add another car to the garage....
