Hi I joined up to IPMS a couple a months ago and have been looking at the forum since that time, but this is my first post and thought I would share some of my work. I'm no expert but I hope you like . First up a Mini Cooper: Traction Engine: And some motorbikes: I'm currently working on Marco Melandri's Spiderman themed Yamaha, a 1/6th Honda Magna and a mini roadster (bodyshell shown below) will put pictures on when I take some . .

Thanks for the comments and to answer your questions, the traction engine is a Fowler from Finecast Steam Vehicles made from white metal, photo-etched brass parts. Nice kit although instuctions are very poor and it took along time to build by trial and error.

Hi Spike,
Superb models mate, come to SMW in November and smell the plastic, especially on the Car & Motorcycle SIG table, I'm sure Richard will want to drool over some of those models.
Incidentally, I noticed that you're building the Spiderman themed Mini? ... any chance you could be into Wallace & Gromit aswell? ... well, got to ask, coz there's a superb display of conversions on show this year, some on the Car & Motorcycle SIG table, sone on the Derby & District stand and some on a devoted W & G table in the middle, we're all mad mate ... eh Richard?

I will definitely be at SMW in November and if there is a chance that I could display some of my models that would be great, who would be best person to speak to about that? . The spiderman theme is going on a Yamaha bike not the mini, sorry for any confusion with the picture. The mini will be in that red as a roadster. I will post some pictures of them both later. Look forward to meeting you at the SMW. PS. I have seen some of the Wallace & Gromit creations and they look superb, It will be an interesting idea for a future model.

And I'll take this opportunity to promote the Car & Motorcycle Special Interest Group whilst I'm here! The SIG concentrates on lighter weight civilian road going vehicles - as the title might suggest. A quarterly newsletter with a bit of everything in it, display space at SMW and a group of individuals for whom camouflage or wings isn't everything Annual membership of £5 to cover printing and postage of the newsletter. There is also an F1 and Motorsport SIG to deal with that genre. Look forward to haring from you Spike ;D Rich
