My kit has just been delivered but owing to life getting in the way have not yet had a chance to do anything with it. Have any of the more enthusiastic (or less busy!) people had a chance to evaluate it? Any opinions would be welcome. It certainly looks very nice but there is a discrepancy between the illustration of the transparencies and the actual moulding.

Hi All Mine arrived today - nothing severly wrong with it at all - looks like a Vixen that I can work with to me. As for the scratches , matt and shny bits etc etc - nope nothing. All looks OK Only complaint is 4 Firestreak would have been nice (or a Bullpup or 2) but nothing a bit of work won't sort. Cheers Colin Small

Hi
I measured the kit against the Frog kit and the Alan Hall Warpaint Sea Vixen book - the drawings in the middle, and IMHO some of the Frog bits are better. For example the chord of the tailplane.
Mine had no scratches etc but the nose cone had not been fully moulded but will be ok with filler.
Have not built it yet as I am fully occupied with the new 1/48 Draken!
Cheers

Sorry but i have to say this...
Never rely on plans especially those in Warpaint books.
The only real answer is the MK.1 eyeball and or a tape measure.
