Hello all, I have in mind to build the 1/48 Trumpeter Wellington but to represent it as a Mk IV. I became a bit confused however on which version (Mk Ic or Mk III) I should purchase to start the building as I found very few information on the Wellington Mk IV side windows aspect. I would be more than grateful if someone could tell me if the Mk IV windows were the same as the Mk Ic or as the Mk III. Any additional information and tips on the difference of the Mk IV will be the most welcome too! Thanks a lot Mike

This is the only on-line photo of a Mk.IV I could find, and although there's not a lot of fuselage fabric left, there's no sign of the long Mk.I windows. It looks like a Twin Wasp-powered Mk.III to me. HTH Ian

hello and welcome beer74,
Mk 1vs were fitted with twin wasp engines and 2 diifferent type of propeller, so there will be considerable changes in that area. also the side windows were etheir painted out or not there in the frst place. I have a set of 72nd scale plans which covers all variants- if you would like a copy of these just reply or pm me with your address and I,ll pop them in the post.
regards Roger
