Hi Rolf
According to Plastic Aircraft Kits of the 20th Century (PAK-20 by John Burns), the only kit in any scale was made by Aurora and was 1/72 scale Commander 520.

As Alfie says.......... The Aero Commander was one of a series of Aurora 'fit the box' GA kits of the period, some of which worked out at 1/72. I think the Piper Apache and the Commander were two in 1/72, and the Bonanza and various Cessnas ended up larger. It'll be no consolation to you I know, but I used to have a Commander stashed somewhere in my loft, darned if I know where it'd be now though.

Hey Alfie & Kit.
very many thanks for your info.
Will be very useful in hunting for an Aero Commander kit which is desired for a mid term project as a present.
As long as it is 1/72nd or close the version is not that important as the differences are mainly in length.
Thanks again, good modeling, Rolf

The Aurora kit turns up on Ebay from time to time, but they do tend to get a bit pricey. ive watched a few this year go for silly money.

Thks Martin,
by coincidence one is presently being offered - am bidding on it up to a sensible price as shipping to Switzerland will add heavily anyhow.
As it is not to 72nd unfortunately it is not an absolute "must have".
