well this is where im at after today.... most of the detail painting is done, and I still got the weathering to do... and i have added some of the decals.... but here is the problem... there are 31 decals and the destructions only show 8.... now im not using some of them i know, but which of the decals at the botom would be on all variations of the AS-90.....

nice job, i,ve got one of these yet to do. Could be my inspiration to get on with it! A point of interest for all future builders of this model, all AS90s are being upgraded back to the original short barrel. This is because they have improved the ammo so they don,t need the long Braveheart barrel anymore. I work at the site they were all built at in Barrow, we see these trundling past our office whenever they bring them in for upgrade. None being built now, but we make and fit all the barrels.

I always have the dilemma of whether to add all the little details like pioneer tools, extinguishers, boxes etc and then paint the lot or paint the accessories separately and the stick them on after the main paint job.
The Vallejo paints are pretty good - using them at the moment on a wingy thing build, bought a 'Panzer' set of colours a little while ago which I intend using on a my next purchase, Dragon Pz IV Smart Kit.
Good work by the way - very impressive.

Hi, have just joined IPMS and noticed your great AS90 build. Am in the middle of building one myself so have an idea of what you've been through! Will post a pic when I work out how to!

Will post a pic when I work out how to! cool i will look forward to seeing it, what colour scheme are you planning to do it in? While looking for ref photo's found amazing Swedish trial splinter scheme from 2003 , www.steelbeasts.com/index.php?categoryid=13&g2_itemId=5271&g2_imageViewsIndex=1 so am doing my best to copy that. Will have to be without the 'Art Demo' markings tho, my painting is not that good! It's coming along nicely, but keep finding paint 'ledges' from masking, where I've put on too thick a colour layer, thought I had found them all already! I wouldn't mind so much but there isn't much I can do about them now, except disguise them, as I'm well into the weathering stage. Was hoping to enter it in this year's Trumpeter comp, but no chance! At this rate I'll be lucky if it's ready for next year!

At last, got round to finishing this ! Tried out a few new finishing teqs, managed to botch the finish on one of the turret boxes, (one on the other side) oh well onwards and hopefully upwards!, ...now back to the Rail Group build....
