Dennis/Kit,
Don't be to worried too much about space at this time, it is always about what you ALL want to display....
..and I will always try to accommodate that.
..after all two models of the same type of aircraft, made by two different people, of two different Air Forces, can be good sight and photo opportunity.
There is plenty of time yet.

Dennis, I was planning on the early version with guns at both ends. I have the Falcon conversion (naturally...) and I've trimmed those bits of it so far. I lived at Topcliffe when the first RAF ones arrived, so all proper Neptunes have guns so far as I'm concerned. In case of overflow I can always put mine on the Cardiff Plastic Aeroplane Club stand, of which I'm the 'notional Englishman'.......

Looking at the list, they are mostly "biguns" but a goodly spread. Know what you mean by "notional Englishman"......went to school in Cinderford and speak Forest quite well - very border country !!!. Regards Dennis

Colin,
Would an Airfix 1/72 Lockheed U-2C/D (the 'grey' one?) be any good?

Dear All,
Just realised how close SMW is.........
Can you all have a look at the list at the beginning of this thread and give me an indication of what and who is coming to SMW........
Who is going to be there all weekend. Saturday, Sunday....
Will try to get list up to date, and figure out whether it will all fit.
Would like us all to be able to get together at some point... Any suggestions of day and time.......?
Any ideas about a theme for next year? Do we indeed need a theme?
Any other thoughts or ideas....?

The big theme for SMW 2010 is going to be Battle of Britain 70th Anniversary. You could theme something around that possibly, but it doesn't leave a lot of scope for the Jet builders out there.
Cheers,

Suppose you might want to see Ju 88 B and 388 - even if it is bl***y Luftwaffe and not everbody's cup of tea ?
That would be it, as the latest subject (RAF 1942 for a change) might not be finished until SMW....
