Looking thru my old Voyager mags from the early 80's I missed the issue that had human based sci fi Astronaut figures in a large scale - 1/24 I think . Big chunky space suits - you get the drift . No idea what the link was top - possibly japanese cartoon or something similar as it was in the robot craze period . Ten years later I bought some old figure kits by Nitto 1/20 scale - a box of huiman figures refered to as Pilots and 'Eddy Amzel' characters . The box said 'Mercenaly Troops' which I hope was a mis translation ! Also said S.F.3.D ORIGINAL .
I later took these as being compatible with the earlier Spacesuits .
I have looked thru all my Voyagers and must have missed the mag that had the review circa 83/84 .
Has anyone a clue what kits I'm on about ?

SA3d OR SAFS suits were a Nitto range in 1/20th. Search on www.hlj.com for M.A.K Hasegawa have just started an all new tool range of kits in this theme. Lovely stuff. H

Hi gunbobs. In case you are interested the sf3d/Ma.K series has gained a re-emergence with several news kits from Wave and now with Hasegawa who have produced a 1/20th scale Falke. Hlj has quite a few new ones available and more are to follow next month as well as later in the year. If you are wanting to know more then please feel free to pm me and i'd be happy to do my best to answer questions or have a look on www.maschinenkrueger.com which has a lot of information. I hope this is useful. Ian
