OK here goes for a tip for all you truck & car builders BUT first I must WARN you take care when doing this as the point is sharp. I use NEW hypodermic needles the one the use to inject you with and I make antennas out of them this is how. Tools required This is a 3ml, 29 gauge hypodermic needle. Carefully remove the protecting cover. Using pliers pull the needle out of the end of the container end or what ever it's called. Keep the needle in the pliers With a Dremel or suitable cutting tool cut the bottom end off also while ya at it carefully remove the sharp end as well BECAREFUL PLEASE. Like this. It should look like this in the end them it can be used as a roof antenna or a truck mirror antenna or whatever you want. These make great antennas and if avaible form a chemist shop or drug store near you great but remember to let the counter staff know that it will be use for your scale model building, you'll get some strange looks but when you show them how it's used they'll get a rel lagh and a kick out of it, hopefully I did. Dingo Footnote I'm also lucky as my wife uses the smaller 1ml needles (insulan needles) for her migraine headache control so I use them after sterilesing them if you can get hold of a clean used soucre do so but remember it much be a clean used source and steriles them in metho (alcohol) and hot water first.

Thats a nice idea, I wonder what they'd look like with a guitar string aerial in the top. Gonna try that.

Good Idea Dingo mate.
Could be used maybe for 1/35th scale military vehicles to, being hollow you could cut the long flu right down and use other materiel for the antenna, but not sure of scale of thease needles lots of possibilities here though.
Nice find.

Foxy it's funny U should say that as I use them as guns for my cardstock aeroplanes and they work well for that so I don't see why they shouldn't for plastic. Dingo

I use them for 1/48 aircraft gun barrels. Also as a slightly safer alternative, I always keep the metal tubes from Revell Contacta Cement bottles, just pull the metal tube out when you are finished and bung it in a 35mm film canister for safe keeping.
