Hi Guys, well i have just bought the Kawasaki Ninja ZX14,and after a quick look in the box have realised that the Chrome will need to be redone to get rid of the join lines and sprue tabs. Never haveing had much luck with Alclad Chrome, im wondering what would be a good alternative to use without it looking naff, any help would be much appreciated. Dave

Hi Dave You might want to try a combination of things such as different metallic paints and bare foil, but the foil is not going to work particularly well around 'twiddly' bits...
That said, IMHO your best bet is to try and persevere with Alclad, it really is the best solution. In what respect are you not getting the results you expect?

Hi Rich, im going to persevere with the Alclad, in the past i have done all the right things, but after haveing talked to Steve at Hiroboy, it seems i could have been spraying to close and at to high a pressure, so have ordered up some more, and will try again, but i will have a good practice first to get the settings right. Just wish Tamiya would work out a way of not haveing join lines where they show and mold lines in the pipes, never mind i can always dream. Many Thanks Dave
