USAF airfield equipment - late '60s/early '70s

Does anybody know if this utility tractor was in use on USAF bases around 1968-1972? From trawling the internet I can't find any reference to what the tractor is or when it was introduced. I have found plenty of evidence of the bomb lift truck featured in the kit which seemd to be in widespread use on USAF bases in the Vietnam conflict, but drawn a blank on the tractor (only found info on larger aircraft tugs that were used at the time). Any information would be appreciated; I'm hoping that an expert from the USAF SIG may be able to help out

You're dead right about the use of this tractor. It looks very much like the one in the Hasegawa set which I believe is a Ford (there were other models used). Their job was to tow all the various items of ground equipment about the place.
