Hello all, My name is Bob and I am here in the UK with the USAF. Have been a member of IPMS/USA since the early 1970s. I build mostly 1/72 aircraft, WW2 to modern. I have enjoyed attending your shows at Milton Keynes, Hendon, Coventry, Brampton and of course Telford. Thanks much for a warm welcome. Cheers! Bob

Hello Bob, welcome to the forum. My apologies for not welcoming you earlier (thanks for standing in foxy) but I've been looking around some of the museums in London especially Hendon and the IWM. I look forward to seeing your posts here.

Hi Bob, and Welcome.
Mildenhall or Lakenheath? Sadly, Woodbridge, Bentwaters, Alconbury and Upper Heyford et al are no more. I grew up in Bury St Edmunds so lived right under the Mildenhall flight path.
Now I'm down near Bristol - 9th Air Force country - why not try and get to the Avon show next August? You won't regret it.
Enjoy your time here

Hi MikeC, Sorry for the delay, been busy at work. I'm actually at Molesworth, flying a desk and computer. I definitely am enjoying my time here, even with the snow and cold. I will keep Avon in mind for August, thanks! Bob

Hi Bob,
I'd forgotten about Molesworth, I know that area well also as I used to live in St Neots, a bit down the A1 from Huntingdon. Enjoy your time here and hope you can make our Avon show next August - you're looking at about 150 miles, but it's an easy run from where you are and you won't regret it.
Cheers,
M
