Yes I will be building this car purely as a trailer queen and it will sit on a trailer behind my '41 Ford Woodie, as yet the body of the Nomad has not been panted and this is only a test photo shot to show U wot I'll be doing, the wheels R from the Nomad camper as it will be getting a different set of rims & tyres, the motor for this project will also be an aftermarket one from Ross Gibson Engines and it will have a lot of after market detail as I will be making this one of my first cars to be super detailed something that I have not really done before, I am looking forward to doing this project I hope it turns out good when it's done. Not the paint colour that as yet has not been chosen. Close-up of the rims & tyres for this Nomad. Dingo

Nice wheels and tyres and for not painted, that's not a bad colour but sorry Dingo, waayyy too high!! As custom cars by nature are very personal, I appreciate it's your build but for me it would have to be sitting level to the ground, pretty close with the wheels tucked up in the arches Lee Croden posted this link public.fotki.com/Rikster/for inspiration on the Hot Rod SIG message board rodcustomsig.proboards.com

It doesn't have the wheels attached to it they're just under it to show off the rims and tyres the car has been started as yet, I was going to drop it the the dirt anyway that's Y it's going to be a trailer queen coz once it's on the trailer and being so low the owner wouldn't be able to get it off again well that's how I sort of plan it whether it ends up like that well that the 64 million dollar question. Well after fixing the problem with my air brush I managed to hit the Nomad with its first coat of chrome silver and its has come up real good, I am gradually getting better at using the airbrush the final paint coat will be clear red and I hope it will look as good as it does in my head with the silver shown through just a little. Voyager the clear red is Tamiya's X-27 as far as I'm concerned it's come out as great paint job others may not agree but then that's their choice. I plan to do my '41 Ford Woody which will be the tow vehicle for this Nomad in clear orange I think again it will look just a good if not better as I have learnt a lot with this paint job. This is the dash for my Nomad it's from the Chrysler Turbine car which I got from the U.S. but was a complete wreck and not worth repairing. The Turbine wreck. Dingo

Some more work has been done on my Nomad, and I've been able to do this work even though it has been very warm here because I have been unable to sleep at night so around 1.30-2.00am I get up and do some work on my models from the Nomad thru to the Woody including all my other car and trucks I have as Well as the cardstock stuff but that's where thing have come a bit unstuck no not the model but my hands it seems that the glue I use although it says that it is non-toxic it is and my hands & fingers R peeling the skin off something shocking, I'll spare U all the gory details by not placing a photo on the forum it looks like I'm going to have to wear latex gloves or some sort of protective glove so I can use that glue. Anyway back to my Nomad and here R some more photos of wot I done so far not much as I've had to wait for cool weather before my late builds and also for the paint to dry hard enough to touch, hope U all like wot I've done so far even though it ain't much. Wheels not stuck in position yet the suspension still has to be dropped to the grass. Piece of metal sticking out the back is a small screw driver holding the car up wit th help of the right side wheels, still looking for rims & tyres to go on it. As I said not yet dumped just got to work out how to do it any suggestions gratefully received. Dingo

JIm, sorry no Ihaven't but all of my other models have come to a halt as well the weather here is stonking hot 36+ degree and All i'm doing is sitting under the air cond to try and keep cool and there's no room for model building in our bedroom/lounge. Just keeping cool in this heat wavw is trying enough wihtout the smell of glue as well beside with my wife suffering migraine headaches the way she does I wouldn't even think about bring glue into the room. The continuing sager of the Nomad trailer queen, well it's come to an almost complete stand still due to other commitments lately like our gun club and being the scorer there and we R coming up to club champs most of my model building has been put on hold, so this is how far the old girl has come since my last lot of writing on this thread. Sorry I missed placing this here in the early hours of Wednesday Morning so now in the early hours of Thursday morning I hope I've hit the mark this time. I think this is how low it will be as I can't seem to get it any lower with out not having wheels at all. It is actually lower than it looks in the photo. Dingo
