Hello
Wonder if anyone can help.Just returned to modelling after a 20 year break. It is inconvenient for me to use an airbrush (small children etc) but I have just finished a 1/48 Airfix hurricane using Humbrol spray cans and was very happy with the quality. The range is rather limited and I wondered if anyone coud suggest other suppliers with a bigger range or if any company can make shades to order. Thanks for any advice.

The Humbrol range was introduced after the withdrawal of the Tamiya TS aerosols. There are more colours being added each month so there is slowly more colours becoming available. Try your local Model shop or if you have a Modelzone or Hobbycraft near you they carry most of the colours

Hi there Halfords do a Vauxhall colour called "Leaf Green" I think? I'll have a look tomorrow, it's not 100% Cockpit interior green but it's not far off. Halfords have 3 or 4 books with 1,000's of colours, if you have the time to look through them you can find some good matches for camouflage colours. I found a really good match for PRU blue, from an Indian car makers range of colours!
John.
OK I've just dug my way to the shed, and it's a good job I did! I got it totally wrong, the cockpit interior green match is "FORD HIGHLAND GREEN" the Vauxhall colour is more like Humbrol No.30

Hi
While you are in Halfords, there is something else you might find useful - a plastic trigger that fits over spray cans to depress the button for you. This should give you better control and be a bit easier to aim.
