Can someone advise me? The re-released Airfix 1/72nd Bucc includes 'long' and 'short' slipper tanks. I know that long tanks were used by the SAAF but I read something recently which suggested that RAF/RN Buccs had two different sizes of tank. That being the case, are both sets of Airfix tanks useable for RAF/RN airframes or just the 'short' ones? I thought that but now I'm not sure!!

I'm wondering whose going to be first to produce a range of decals for all white Bucc S1's? I know about the SAMI download but both Xtradecal and Model Alliance seem to have only one white S1 so you'd think someone would do a set with full stencils (presumably pale blue and pink, as per TSR 2?) and a few alternative squadron markings and pale blue numbers?
The Xtradecal Bucc S2 set is pretty good and I reckon the pale blue numbers in that for EDSG birds look 'right' comapred to the SAMI download which seems way to 'blue' to me!
