hi all , This is how I flatten a tyre , so it looks deflated . This only works on plastic tyres . Drill a pilot hole horizontal to the tyre , then redrill in a larger size but not so the wall of the tyre is damaged . Then cut out the plastic to form a trough . File the edges to thin them down . Then to flatten you need a piece of metal that will fit inbetween the tyre walls . I use a pyrograve . Heat it up to warm and genlty place inbetween the walls so it warms and soften the plastic . Remove the metal and press the tyre down on a flat surface , this will crush the tyre wall outwards and produce a bulge hopefully. Fill in the gap and profile to shape; I use milliput . As with all new tips practice on a spare first . See scan of the 3 basic stages cheers ian

hi it is a electric minature hot needle used by wood workers to burn in lettering on wood , i bought mine from historex over 30 years ago . cheers ian
