I am one happy guy..got a note to try using Modelimex This turns out to be based in Czech Republic and has lists of all sorts of East European kit makers. I found my desired kits from Bilek Registered and made the order and within a week the order was confirmed and being processed. Three weeks later it arrived All done with a great email service to track the progress. I will be buying again from them..

Did you have to pay any import tax? I presume not as it is in the EU.
However I daren't buy anything from the U.S. as have been stung by a massive import tax bill before, which was more the item itself, and had to be paid before they would release the item.

I have used Luck Model quite a few times and have found their service to be excellent. Just remember to click the 'low value invoice' or 'gift' options at checkout and you should have no problems with the tax man.
Cheers, Ian

I've recently bought etch from the US and a resin kit from Hungary and in neither case have I been 'stung' on imports. In my experience it's pot luck whether you get 'caught' or not. Just be prepared for the worst and enjoy the times when you don't pay!

I've bought kits from US and these most recent onse from the Czech republic and no import tax has been imposed in any case.
The only time I got a big sting for tax and import from the US was when I bought from a jewelry store online. The charged US tax and the Post Office here also charged for it to be released.
I think it depends on the type of item description
