How do chaps, now that I'm slowly getting back into it, i thought i would put a few pics of the first kit I've started and finished in over two years!!! Nice and easy to put together. Really enjoyed doing this one. The paint was mixed from Tamiya, sorry cant remember the colours or exact mix. Will have a look next time I'm in the shed! Comments welcome, Steve

Nice one Steve. Glad to see you back lol. Have the 1/48 scale but not the 1/35th one, looks like I might have to look this one up at Yeovilton show.

I don't want to rain on your parade, your Tilly is well done but the markings are not quite correct. The div. sign is for the 47th Infantry Div. and your AOS is marked as an Army unit not divisional, [bar below sign] The 47th existed from 11/41 till 12/42 then re designated 48th training Div. The sign should not have a bar. On red the number should be 81 for HQ then 55,56 or 57 for the relevant battalion.

How do chaps, I'm not surprised that the markings are wrong. Tamiya tend to mix up their kit markings on quite a few of their Armour and soft skin kits. Did enjoy the build though. I've got a few books on British Vehicle markings and paint schemes etc, including one of yours Mike (assuming that you are that Mr Starmer even tried to match the colour from the paint chips at the back) AND I'm still non the wiser!! Very complex subject! Regards, Steve

Well taking that the white bar is upside down can be fixed easy. Just paint it out and put new at top, 'job done' I find counting rivets so tedious, so one out of place is fine by me. Nice model Steve.
