If killer seagulls are detected maybe they fire the ships cat at them from a Sea Cat launcher ;D Cheers, Steve Doesn't look as though there is enough room to swing a cat (launcher). I would guess that with cut backs the killer seagulls will be seen off with a bag of seaside fish and chips laced with bicarbonate of soda and the attacking tennis balls, once detected at 40 miles will be despatched by Leading Seaman Becker on the poop deck with his trusty racquet. Dressed in whites of course. This thread getting silly enough yet ;D Paul OOOHHHHHH YEEESSSSSS ;D ;D ;D Cheers, Steve

What with Sea Cats, Seagulls, Tennis Playing Matelots and Daleks on the bridge - it seems like we have stumbled across the fabled ark from the thread started by Nick. All we need to do is add a few crates of beer, some sheep and maybe Wallace and Gromit and we have the makings of a truly silly thread. Paul

PS This is not a US Navy ship, so beer is not a problem.

Oh it has been extremely helpful - the pictures have stimulated conversation and brightened a somewhat dull day and for that I thank you. Now all I need is a stiff G and T and to get home so that I can make a start on a Me 262 thats screaming out for some paint and glue to be slapped on it - not necessarily in that order. Paul

Thanks for those phots I think the new Type 45's are great ships. As far as capability is concerned they have to be built with the capability to take on future targets.
Its good to see there is a little of our shipbuilding insdtru left, this from someone who used to be a part of it.

If anyone's interested in producing our Navy's latest destroyer, White Ensign models have released a Type 45 in 1:700, and are considering a 1:350 scale version if they can gather enough orders.

Thats all well and good and very impressive but it says nothing about killer seagulls with tennis balls at 40 miles. I wonder if a seagull can carry a tennis ball? African Seagull certainly can but not so sure about the European unless it grips it by the husk. Paul Of course two could carry one slung between them in a similar manner to that utilised by Swallows to transport Coconuts! H

Oi, steady on lad, you leave Wallace & Gromit out of this, and the sheep, mind you, with the 'Shaun the Sheep' kits now on sale, I'm sure we can conjure up a bit of sillyness, I'll see what I can do when I get back from Beltring. Anyway, back to the thread ... carry on ...
