Ho Ho Ho! ... ... apart from painting the rim of the base, fireman santa is done. I've used a varied mixture of paints on this figure, including Vallejo, Humbrol and Revell, nothing planned, just taken from the stock in the workshop. I've also used 'Woodland Scenics' snow for the first time, it's so simple and gives an excellent lifelike finish. I'm not really a figure modeller, but I think every now and again, you need to try something new, and to be really honest, I've enjoyed the experience. The figure of the paramedic seen in the background will test my skills even further as there's a fair amount of flesh to paint. I have the Andrea Press F.A.Q. book on figure painting which I bought earlier in the year, I'm going to study this book very closely over the next couple of days, I may even start a collection of these figures for myself.

Super job Nick Cheers Ratch, I really enjoyed this build. I have several of Paul Slade's figure kits in the stash, maybe it's time I ventured into the world of figure painting and used oils? ... eeeeeeeeeeeek!

OHHHH Dear! You'll be building and painting ships next! Funny you should say that, I've got the Revell German Lifeboat and the Airfix RNLI Severn Class Lifeboat, and somewhere deep in the stash is the old Monogram New York Fireboat ... hmmmmmm! ... could there be a suggestion of a build there?
