Had a little play in the workshop today looking at making Warning Beacons. All you need is the following: Varable speed drill with trigger lock. Two/Three G clamps to hold drill to work bench. Fine Needle files. Fine emery cloth. Cutting paist. Safety glasses. Take some 8mm Clear plastic rod (orange or clear) Mount drill to work bench securley, with locking switch for trigger upward. With clear rod held in the chuck turn on the drill at a slow speed. Using various needle files cut into the plastic to create the desired shape of a beacon. *Dont forget your safety glasses* Once the beacon is in the desired shape use some cutting paiste and a fine emerey cloth to sand so the plastic goes clear again. *Just remeber if you apply to much pressure it creates heat and melts the plastic making globs or it just bends and comes off
