Hi Everyone, I've been working up a set of drawings for the Schopf F59 aircraft tug as used by the RN and RAF, with a view to producing a kit. At present my intention is to make it in 72nd scale, however if there is sufficient interest I could be persuaded to go to 48th or 32 and even 24th scale. There is a thread over on the Airfix Tribute Forum if you want to know what one looks like or Google Schopf. Anyone interested? Let me know. albertrn*at*global *co*za

Hi Nick, By all means pass it on the more the merrier as it were. If there is enough interest then we can go form there. It's a bit of an odd ball subject. Yes that is the one in the Schopf link, I got some pics of the ones in use by 824 NAS at Culdrose plus some pages from the manual.

Colin,
Just a thought. I know I've got some photos knocking about somewhere (taken at various events). If they are of use, I'll sort out some copies for you?
I might be able to grab a few more in early October if I'm lucky.
Regards, John

Hi John, Anything you have please especially RAF and Army types. I think I have enough RN to see me through.
Thanks Colin

If it's 1/24, I'd like one.

Hi guy's apologies for the delay in any comms but other projects (as we all know) have conspired and got in the way. I made some progress late last year and an old mate from my navy days was able to help via the MT section at Culdrose (concrete aircraft carrier for those not in the know). He sent me some pages from the maintenance manual which were of great help. I'm still working up the drawings in 24th and another scale too small for you guys here. As soon as I have something worth sharinfg I'll let you all know.
