Hi all, I keep hearing about hexagonal rod from which I can cut pieces to represent nuts and bolts.
I haven't been able to find any, does such stuff exist?

Have a look at 'Antics' web site: www.anticsonline.co.uk/1308_1.html about three quarters of the way down the page. You can also use 'Evergreen' square rod and chamfer the corners.

Easier option. Look on the same Antics web pages and look for plastruct sections. They have a good variety of sizes and they are already Hexagonal!!!
They come in multiple packs of 10 pieces or more (depending on size) and good value and last for ages ;D

You can also use 'Evergreen' square rod and chamfer the corners. But that'll give you octagonal sections!
