Hi everyone I am currently considering converting the Hasegawa P-38G to an F5A photo recon version and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for some detailed drawings or if available a conversion kit. Any information would be greatly received Many thanks Paul

Hi Paul, Apologies, I missed this thread. I'll have a dig in my references and get back to you. What scale are you working in? If it's 1:48 my first thought is that you could "mix and match" the Academy P-38J multi-variant boxing and their G; I'm not familiar with the latter, so perhaps that kit already has the relevant parts. Just a thought - could I suggest you ask a mod to move this thread to the Recce SIG sub-board: ipmsuk.proboards.com/board/94/reconnaissance-sig I always look at that one first when I drop in here. Thanks for your query Paul - unfortunately I can't help, although your query has shown me a gap in my knowledge that needs plugging, so I've asked the rest of the Recce SIG - watch this space ...

. Easy way out would be procuring the RS F-5A Lightning - nice kit at reasonable price !

Drawings for F-5s etc:
Squadron/Signal "In Action No. 109, P-38" - pp 49 onwards
IPMS Magazine 1/2000 - this was a Ley Reynolds production, he's probably got a website and if not IPMS Australia is a good bet.
Good luck - Bri.

Thanks for the help guys, and thanks also for the practical demonstration of one of the the benefits of SIGs, this one in particular. (You surely can't blame a chap for promoting his SIG )
