Hello This is to inform the members that registration for the competition is open, and all members should have received their magazines which has all the details inside. please register in time and do not leave this to the last minute, registration will close on the 2nd November and any entry form after that time that I will accept will be from new members or juniors. if your going to finish that winning model in between registration closing and the start of the show but not sure about registering just get it done early, I would rather the model entered but not finished than to miss the deadline. if a model is registered but does not make it to this years show it can be accepted for the following year, I do check if models have been previously.
so get your form to me via post or email as soon as possible.
TONY.

Can you clarify something, please? I read the competition details in the mag, and I saw that the IPMS USA award is a Separate Entry class, although placed in the Non-separate Entry list. I think I've got my head around that, but it is numbered X14, which is the same as the IPMS Switzerland award. When submitting a written entry, members need to specify the name (not just the number) of the award to avoid confusion. Also, the Japanese Aviation SIG award mentions "a Japanese subject"; does this mean that, regardless of the SIG's normal activities, entries are not restricted to aviation? I get confused easily.

I will try to clarify. the X14 number is a slight error which I have just noticed. I will pick up any confusion on this a direct the entry to the right trophy category. the idea behind the USA trophy is for somebody to enter this trophy only and not to have their model entered into a class. there will be a separate table for these entries and I will take entries for this trophy on the day. the two awards that are offers by the Japanese aviation SIG are for one in the competition and the other from the displays at the whole show. as they are sponsored by the Japanese aviation sig they are aviation related. does this help the confusion. I get confused as well at times. Tony.
