They might have mock-ups with them as they did with the Nimrod last year.

You'll probably see only CGIs, as we did at Yeovilton, since metal was only due to be cut, for the first time, about then. Early summer was the prediction then, and that it'll likely cost £100, which might sound pricey, but it'll have 675 parts. Edgar

Update from SMW... The mock-up looked stunning and accurate, though some of the elevator detail maybe a little heavy. It is an FB.VI / NF.II with about 6 schemes - All black NF.II - MSG/DG/Night - NF.II - MSG/DG 464 Sqn (iirc) FB.VI - Banff Wing FB.VI - Sqn TBC - RAAF aluminum FB.VI - And one I cannot remember! It will have both styles of exhaust, standard rocket rails and u/wing bomb racks (but not the Banff 2x2 rails), 50 and 100 gallon tanks, 3 types of (rubber) mainwheels - two treaded patterns and a smooth one, plus different hubs; detailed bomb bay. The top wing section is a one piece moulding, which will fit into the fuselage excatly like on the original; the separate flaps look great dropped. The cockpit may be a bit disappointing, as it's been designed for 2 crew to be fitted, so no seat harnesses. No doubt the PE and resin guys will have a field day. Me I'll be scratch building it all - cheaper and that way I may be able to afford two, as I DO want a 248 Sqn Banff Wing a/c and a 613 Sqn a/c... The way the model breaks down then it's likel that a PR/bomber version with the twin stage nacelles will follow; but no definite commitment was being given on that. The CGI presentation was OK if you like that sort of thing. Personally, I couldn't take my eye off the mock-up!!! Look out for it at Yeovilton's FAAM show on 14-Feb. Release date - July 2009 (currently). Hope that helps! A Mosquito SIG anyone.............. !!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers, Nick

Offering ideas, support, models and reference material - YES.
Offering to lead it - NO.
One SIG is enough to run at any one time for any one person...
How about you Rich?
Cheers,
Nick

Sounds like it would make an excellent load for a truck model - especially if the wings mounting is as per the real thing.

I saw this myself and thought, "How can I justify spending £100 of a kit to the wife once it's released?"
I will buy it when it's released and then think of an excuse for it. It does look greta what I've seen so far.

Mick, there's always the "look what I've won dear" routine, as you produce the winning cloakroom ticket, or are you not that devious? ... I know several who are but I told Ian Sadler that I'm sworn to secrecy ... Oops! ;D

Have a word with Denis Mulligan, ex IPMS(UK) President. He made a speech, at a Nationals banquet, which had "20 ways to get a kit past the wife" as one of its themes. I asked him to publish it in the magazine, but he said that it had caused him enough grief as it was. Edgar
