Ayup All...
You may or may not know, but last year for me was a modelling 'Holiday'. i didn't want to build anything 'cos i lost a lot of Interest, and because of personal stuff too. Although for the first part of the year i went to all the shows...
Well, after SMW, i have had my interest more then re-kindled...
At Telford amongst other models, i bought a Marvel Comics 'Thor' figure because of my interest in the new Tomb Raider game just out, where Lara travels through various Underworlds to find Thors hammer... (enough of the Videogames, now!) and that's my Inspiration...
I started it endof last week, and i have to say, that as far as scale goes, it's a big model, nearly 9 inches tall. its based on the snap together kit, and being series two, you glue it, with the snap bits removed... it's in colour coded plastic, but that's a guide rather than gospel, and he's standing on a vanquished 'Wyrm' of some descripion... i intend to paint it a mix of Lifecolor Acrylics, and Citadel /Warhammer shades... to the comics colours... sort of...
Anyway, here's Thor, God of Thunder, and a poor Monster with a headache... I'll post more as i get done...
'Mammeee, how i Lub Ya!'
'And tonight Matthew, i'll be... '
These shots are of the first dry-fit today. and to work out where to glue his legs, so i can fill and sculpt the huge gaps. i'll need the figure to be transportable in two pieces to shows...
Here's 'Angus' BTW...
You'll be seeing them at the shows ! ;D
