Fear not, karlos. Your message has not totally fallen on deaf ears. Mind you, as an intermittent Guardian reader I will not find it easy to ask for a Telegraph in my village shop but somehow I'll have to master the skill. It's only for two days and I don't actually have to read the thing. Then again, perhaps I can chat up a few neighbours and see if I can blag the vouchers without buying the paper....that seems a much better option! So my thanks for passing on the information, much appreciated. Once I have the vouchers a friend who commutes to work in Maidstone will do the collection-so probably two kits for the price of a thank-you pint, not a bad deal at all! John

every one benefits all around you get , if not a 'free' kit , a low cost one, your local newsagent sells a paper, you frequent a model shop, maybe have a browse, buy something else as well, every one is happy , well, almost every one................

Thank you for the information Karlos.
Reading the Daily Telegraph item, the kits are described as a 1/72 Hurricane I and Spitfire II from Revell but I don't think they can be as Revell don't produce those versions.
The Spitfire boxart shown in the Telegraph press release is that of the Revell Spitfire Vb and the Hurricane looks like the artwork for the bomb-carrying Hurricane IIb.

I'd love a crack at this, thanks for the heads up Karlos mate! Just hope it applies over here and that you don't have to collect it on the same day as the paper...

They are the recent Revell kits in special edition boxes. 15000 of each kit are available, around 109 per outlet (we had our 109 yesterday). I think the blurb in the ads is a typo. Mark

Unfortunately my nearest Toys 'R' Us, HobbyCraft and Modelzone are miles away.
Not got the spare fuel money to use as an excuse even to go for a browse. So I will avoid getting the paper though there are other papers with mags about ww2 comemerating start. I may get those to see what info there is.

So much for my cunning scheme..... The 'collect today or get nowt' bit ruined my plans; my courier doesn't go up until Monday and today was the Faversham Hop Festival so the choice was drive to Maidstone and get a 'free' model after 40+ miles or bus into Faversham for a day of ale, music and Morris sides. Sadly for my liver and kit stock, the Hops won. And they will tomorrow, too.... For those that can, enjoy the freebies. For myself, I shall return to The Guardian/Observer with a clear conscience and a full bladder!
