Hi all , I have never before now used the New Dragon Magic tracks . I built this jig from scrap wood ex wine box, the base is slightly smaller than the hull width. The two pencil marks are the ground contact length on the model . I used two spare specsaver glasses cases to seperate the two types of track , makes for easy assembly later on . By butting the sections of track up against the edge I was able to keep them from bending as the glue set . See photo cheers ian

Hi all next part seems a bit drastic , but it works for me. Remover the sponsons from the lower hull part X , make sure that all the wheels turn freely on the axles ; before glueing them on . Do not glue on the front axles this is the adjustment for the tracks . When the axles are set solid then add the wheels and place the top run of track on but do not glue to the wheels , starting from the back add the tracks till they meet with the bottom run . Again do not glue any tracks to the wheels . I will post a photo soon of work so far , cheers ian

Hi all as part of this build I have made replacement zip boxes out of aluminium foil , the size of the large one is 35 mm long , 5 mm wide and 8 mm high , I cut the base out of 30th plastic card and covered the inside face in foil . Then by cutting a strip to the above measurements I bent it round the base and super glued in place . The lid was made by cutting a piece slightly larger all round and bending the lips up, a dividing wall fitted in the base and wooden blocks in the lid which was was glued in place. The side handles were made from fuse wire with alluminium for the brackets . Again these were super glued on . The smaller zip box will not have a lid , and it was made in the same way but only 4 mm high .
