May I suggest you put all your pictures in one post where possible. Multiple posts for single pictures is a bit of a bind for some people.

'Ahh', you have me there sir Darth. I can now reduce the picture,'but', again do not know how to allow other than modify to put all in one thread. Can you bring more than one picture down from photo shop at the same time. 'Its me age you see', did not have this in my day, 'so', any advice is welcome. ;D.

Ah
OK I assume you are still using Photobucket.
Simple really just post your picture tag from PB, hit return and add the next on the line below.
ie
{img}......{/img}
{img}....2{/img}
etc etc etc
If you cannot work out how to swap easily between PB and the Forum open two Internet Explorer program screens and flip between them using the start box navigation tags.

Heres another angle of it, the gun and Base are not fixed yet as will have to be removed for spraying the top hull. From the rear, as you can see its only half built. Note the brass pipe inside the gun, this is to allow it to move, not really necessary but I like things to move and easier in this scale than in 1/72nd. 'OH', and thanks Darth'H'D for your instruction, as you see I have managed to get the grey cells working again lol. ;D

Here are the figures from Dragon Kit that I am going to use for this build, may change the head gear to peeked caps , as you can see the men are harmless(arm) at the moment. Have just sprayed the Halftrack with its first coat.

Started figures for crewing the gun, have used peeked caps for three of the crew and one helmet for the Sgt. With crew mounted,'oops', someones dropped his hat . Most of the Brass etchings are on, but need to put the last empty shell cover on.

Foxy, i'd just like to ask a couple of questions. Firstly, how do you rate the AFV kits. I have a few Dragon 251's but no AFV ones yet.
Also, i notice u have put the tracks and wheels on before painting. I have noticed this on other models and don't quite see how you paint behind the wheels, inbetween them and on the back. Also, doesn't it make weathering harder, getting the mud and stuff inbetween there. Just curious as i always paint mine with the track off and wheels on the sprue.

Hi Bish. Well have both makers of kits, and In my view AFV are more in scale and are just as good in my opinion as Dragon Half tracks. When building them, AFV comes complete in length on the top superstructure and you have to remove some of the side for some types of SdKfz 251/?, 'like this one'. Well as I said in my first post, this is two kits, bottom Dragon and top AFV, so they are separate when spraying and only sit at the moment till complete ;D, same as the gun and crew. I weather(mud etc) the inside of the bottom half before applying the wheels, being that the tracks (flexible)can be made loose before mounting and only need to be fixed later, you can spray/paint wheels/track and then apply tracks. I apply the weathering for the bottom half once all is together, like you I spray/paint the wheels on the spruce. The figures are done separate and fixed once they are finished, then any faults there after can be seen to, as we know there is always the last touch up when completed together. One other thing Bish, on Half tracks, because of the maintenance these wheels/tracks have to be kept in good order to run properly, so most scenes I have seen is not to much mud around this part of the vehicle, there are times like the mud of the Eastern Front which yes gets muddy, but a track would separate if left in a clogged condition, 'artists license', A friend of mine who was in 231s Recce and later 251s explained that it was easy to lose a track if bunged up, infarct he had the nasty experience of a track coming off and being strafed by aircraft while trying to replace it, as you may expect he/they got away with it . I am not an expert by any means Bish, and am learning all the time, but down the line I have found that some like to put the whole thing together less wheels/tracks and spray the lot, then weather/mud etc, but in this case I had two kits, so could work on one without harming the other, this might be good for one kit too,'will have to try it lol'. I hope that explains it for you Bish mate.

hi, and thanks. Was curious and always good to get new ideas. As for the mud, i know just wot he means. I have never driven a halftrack, but i am in the British army and spent 12 years in an armoured Inf battalion, and for 8 of that was a Warrior driver. So i know just how muddy AFVs can get. When ever we were in the field, every few days u used to scrape the mud off from the running gear. The whole thing used to get covered in it.
Its not so mutch a case of the track seperating, its more a case of the track jumping off the wheels. I have had a couple of nasty experiances with tracks coming off in Iraq, though not due to mud, and yes, its deffinatly something you wanna avoid.
Thanks Foxy and look forward to seeing the 251 finished.
